Farewell

While I embarked on this Rotary year with the goal to Be your Inspiration, I end this year in a couple short weeks convinced the inspired is truly me!  You shared your Rotary experiences with me on how you raise funds, how you give back to your community through providing for its unique needs, and how you build your Rotary strength through fellowship.

As I often mention, my mother introduced me to Rotary as a teenager.  If you’d told me then at the age of 16 that this organization was going to forever greatly impact my life, enrich my outlook, bring humility to my decision-making, enrich my leadership prowess, and  expand my inner circle to 1.29 million like-minded individuals who collectively connect to change the world, I would have said “As if” .... because that was what we said in the 90s.  But in all seriousness, the greatest gift ever given to me was Rotary, and I’m proud that our Rotary district has given that gift also to nearly 2000 Rotarians in our 36 communities.

Now I urge you to look intensely into how your Rotary club can support your community AS IF there are no limits.  Because I have no doubt that you inspire your community just like you’ve inspired me!
