Dear Rotarians,

It’s that time of the year we celebrate Thanksgiving…a symbol of intercultural peace, America’s opportunities and the blessedness of home and family. As we reflect on the blessings this past year, let’s remember the good work of The Rotary Foundation.
Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects. The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.
Our mission…The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
Your foundation has the highest rating, 4-stars from the Charity Navigator, a rating that only 1% of charities obtain. And, you can be assured your money is invested wisely and supports our philanthropic goals – whether its’ supporting clean water, the eradication of polio or a particular global grant. Our money is in good hands.
Your district foundation team has more information within this newsletter; and you can see all the good our district is doing. The global grants team reports the projects we’re involved and the Foundation Chair, Matt Murphy explains more details about our great foundation.
As you reflect on all your blessings, please consider giving to The Rotary Foundation. EREY…Every Rotarian Every Year, every member gives at least $25. How about becoming a sustaining member club, every member gives at least $100 to the foundation? This past year our district recognized 9 clubs that met these achievements!
I am so thankful for such giving Rotarians in our district. With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.

Yours in Rotary,

Lance Singleton
District Governor 2019-2020
