The Rotary Club of Edmond’s newly installed Club President, Cindy Dimit wanted to find a way to stay in touch with the Club’s Members. Dimit created the “Rotary Roadsters.” The Roadsters provide a human touch during this time of virtual meetings.
The Roadsters are Club Members that have volunteered to deliver lunch to other Club Members prior to the regularly held Zoom meetings each Wednesday. Volunteer Roadster, Sandy Chappell says that “it is wonderful to see a few fellow Rotarians. They are happy to see me and appreciate the hot lunch” and that “Service Above Self includes taking care of our own members.”
Currently the Club is meeting virtually via Zoom. When in-person meetings resume, the Club meetings will be held at St. Luke’s Methodist Church on I-35 in Edmond.
