The Midwest City Rotary Club continued to support the OKC Memorial Marathon in a big way on April 24, 2022.  The Marathon leadership has become incredibly dependent on our Midwest City Club because of our commitment to come out in force.  Our club ‘mans’ the primary and largest station that separates the Marathon Relay Teams from the full marathon runners so that they can make the exchanges for the following leg of their relay.

Our station management includes 3 different physical locations and areas of support.  We start at the separation intersection (1) that is about 300 yards immediately prior to our food station (2) for the runners which is about 200 yards from the next group (3) where our team merges the new runners back onto the main course to be integrated back in with the full marathon runners.

This effort requires at least 30 people to tackle all this logistical coordination.  Our teams include Rotarians, spouses and family, Interact Students from Midwest City High School, and Junior Rotarians from Carl Albert High School.  All of our folks really do have service oriented hearts and perform at high levels on this project in one of our busiest times of the year.
