Bricktown Rotary Club Celebrates 21st Anniversary with Hit-A-Thon at Ted Reynolds Park
On September 11, 2024, 23 members of the Bricktown Rotary Club and two members from other clubs, gathered at Ted Reynolds Park to celebrate the club's 21st anniversary with their annual Hit-A-Thon fundraiser. Participants took to the field, hitting softballs as far as they could. Pledges could be flat donations or the ever popular “dollars per foot” contributions. This year the club raised over $17,000!
The event featured not only the softball exhibition but also hot dogs, Corn Hole, a Plinko game, and a lively announcer providing music and commentary throughout the event.

Midwest City Rotary 2ND INTERACT CLUB - Raffle for two OU/Alabama Tickets
Midwest City recently inaugurated its second Interact club, celebrating the momentous occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. For 60 years...that's right, 60 YEARS, the Midwest City Rotary Club has proudly supported Junior Rotarians, and now, they have an official Interact club. As of today, there are 39 paid members.
A bit of background on the involvement at Carl Albert High School: the school was established in 1964, and that year saw the first class of Junior Rotarians. Over the past six decades, various leaders have guided these students. On September 9, 2024, they received their certificate from Rotary International.
This new Interact Club is hosting its first fundraiser—a raffle for two tickets to the OU/Alabama game in Norman on November 23rd. The seats are located in section 7, row 15, seats 22 and 23. Raffle tickets are priced at $10 each. Interested individuals can click to visit their Facebook page to view a video made by the students during last week’s football game. CLICK HERE to be directed to the event link with more information and how to buy tickets. The drawing will be broadcast live on Facebook on November 20th at 5:00 PM.
The goal is to raise $3,000 for the Rotary Club in Asheville, North Carolina. There is hope for support from the District to help send substantial funds to their friends in the Appalachians.
The excitement for these students to be student-governed is palpable. They are actively working to plan their first activities, and the community is encouraged to keep them in their thoughts and prayers. There is a shared enthusiasm for what lies ahead.
