I wanted to share some great news about someone we all know and admire—our Immediate Past District Governor, Jeanean Jones. True to her Rotary spirit, Jeanean has stepped into a new role that lets her keep doing what she does best: serving others and making a difference.
She’s joined the team at INSURICA, a community-focused organization with deep Oklahoma roots and a heart for helping people. In her new role, Jeanean is working with mid to large-sized employers to help them build strong, healthy workplaces—making sure more Oklahomans have access to the healthcare and benefits they deserve.
It’s easy to see why INSURICA wanted Jeanean on their team—and just as easy to see why she said yes. Both care deeply about doing what’s right, operating with integrity, and improving lives in meaningful, lasting ways.
Please join me in congratulating Jeanean on this next step. I know she’ll continue to make us proud and serve with the same heart, vision, and purpose we’ve always admired.
Yours in Rotary,
Jack Werner
District Governor, Rotary District 5750

In honor of April's Environmental Month, our club gathered to clean up our designated stretch of highway on Noble in Guthrie. Several members showed up with smiles and a shared commitment to making a positive impact. It was a rewarding day of service and community spirit!
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some exciting news about a collaborative effort between the West Oklahoma City Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Kolhapur, India. Together, we have embarked on a significant global grant project aimed at benefiting the Crossings Community Clinic in Oklahoma City.
There has been a tremendous amount of interest in this initiative, revealing the commitment and passion of our Rotary community. This project is indeed large in scope, and the enthusiasm we've received from District 5750 and various other clubs has been inspiring. Our goal is to raise $150,000 to procure essential equipment for both campuses of the clinic. Crossings Community Clinic is fortunate to have already received pledges from anonymous donors, which will help bridge the funding gap for some of the high-cost equipment that the Global Grant will not be able to obtain.
I have strong confidence that, through the Global Grant and District Designated Funds (DDF), along with support from Rotary clubs throughout District 5750 and surrounding areas, we can successfully achieve our goal. The collaboration between West OKC and Kolhapur Rotary Clubs is pivotal in strengthening our international support.
For those who may not be familiar with the requirements for a Global Grant, it is essential to note that 15% of the total funds must come from international clubs. While the Kolhapur Rotary Club is eager to contribute, the request for 15% of project funds poses a significant challenge for them. Thus, I kindly encourage each of you to reach out to your international contacts who may be able to support this substantial endeavor.
Should you have any questions, ideas, or if you are interested in contributing, please do not hesitate to contact me. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the Crossings Community Clinic and the communities it serves.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication.
In March, the Stillwater Frontier Rotary Club helped host the Wings of Rotary Japanese inbound team during their day in Stillwater. Club President Tim Hardin and other Rotarians showed our Japanese visitors a great time with meal stops at Granny’s Kitchen and Eskimo Joe’s (including an all grins photo opp with Eskimo Joe and Buffy). Tours at OSU included the Dairy Barn, the high-tech Endeavor Lab, and Gallagher-Iba Arena where Pistol Pete made their day! Tours of the Stillwater community included Our Daily Bread Food and Resource Center, a working oil rig, and the jaw-dropping Optimus Prime Transformer.
