It’s that time of year again, where we come together with family and friends to give thanks, and remember those that we’ve lost over the past year. I want to set aside this time to say I’m thankful for my Rotary family, and I’m thankful for what Rotary stands for in the world. We continually set aside the political and religious differences to come together for a common good in serving others above self. When we think of inclusivity, there shouldn’t be a better place to invite someone than Rotary. I encourage each of you to reflect on our values as Rotarians and project that inclusivity into our meetings and promote that message on social media for all to see allowing all to have an opportunity to say, “that’s a place for me”. I appreciate every one of you and thank you for your service and commitment to serving all and welcoming all.
Happy Holidays to You and Yours, in Rotary,
Matt Tipton

End of December Reminders!!
As we approach the half-way mark of our Rotary year, a few important reminders:
Together we fund the life-changing work that provides sustainable solutions where our help is needed most. With your support, we can make lives better in your community and around the world. From supplying COVID-19 personal protective equipment to training peacebuilders who strive for a future with less conflict, you make this work possible by supporting our Foundation. Please consider donating again and give the gift of Rotary.
Join with Club 29 as we build on these networks through three new Global Grants. All are in the beginning stages and in need of your leadership, ideas, and support.
Our district was recently awarded our first ever Global Grant Scholarship. The recipient is Natalie Hodde, an OSU graduate with a history of volunteering around the world and a passion for clean water and sanitation.
The Rotary Peace Fellowship is a unique program to accelerate this work. Each year, Rotary awards up to 130 fellowships to community leaders from around the world to pursue a master’s degree or professional certification at one of five Rotary Peace Centers.
The fellowship covers all tuition and fees, room and board, transportation, and study related expenses – all with no cost to your club or the district.
Yukon Rotary was happy to donate $500 and various hygiene products to Youth and Family Services for their hygiene drive. The club made a donations along with individual donations from members.
OKC Midtown - District Grant Delivery
OKC Midtown Rotary just finished up our district grant to buy $5,146 worth of Mariachi Instruments for Academia OKC. Academia OKC provides in-school and after school arts programs at EPIC Charter Schools.
The Mustang Rotary Club recently raffled a child's Mustang car complete with leather seats, radio and remote control.
The event was held during the National Mustang car show held in Mustang. Legendary Jack Roush, signed the hood of the car, which made the value and interest in the car skyrocket! Proceeds went toward community projects.
Enid - November Activities
From new members, World Kindness Day, and the Field of Honor, Enid Rotary served it's community in many different ways.
South OKC has kept the ideal of Service Above Self in their hearts as the provided service to a family of refugees, socks for seniors, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, and Sunday fellowships.
Rotarian, Barry Bell had a goal to build 20 Thanksgiving bags for families of Summit Middle School. Little did he know, but the Club would come through in a big way, providing a total of 27 bags.
