May 6, 2022-Bricktown Rotary Days of Wine and Rotary Fundraiser
 
Well, the Bricktown Rotarians had a successful Fundraiser Event in May for the Day of Wine and Rotary. We met at Dunlap and Codding downtown and with ticket sales,  silent and live auction, and our Travel Square Board sales were a success!!  Megan Mitchell was the lucky recipient of the $2000 travel Voucher...way to go Megan!! The Bricktown Rotary club raised $14,000.00 for our annual service projects which include:
 
Some of our past and present projects:
  • Collecting Hygiene Bags for https://www.teem.org
  • Collecting box fans for the elderly in conjunction with the Salvation Army.
  • Purchasing Christmas gifts & hosting a Christmas party for residents of Northwinds, a nursing home for AIDS and HIV patients.
  • Entertaining the children with Prader Willi Syndrome at their annual conference.
  • Building a tree house for the Boys and Girls Club.
  • Sponsoring books for children as part of Pambe Ghana.
  • Buying Shelter Boxes for disaster relief.
  • Walking to End Alzheimer's.
  • Sponsoring the NewView Oklahoma dragon boat team of adults who are visually impaired.
  • Raising money after the Japanese Tsunami.
  • Serving cold beverages at the Festival of the Arts MegaDrinks tent.
  • Providing gifts for SKIL students.
We had wonderful food sponsored by The Mantel, Rococo's, The Hamilton, 1492 Latin Cuisine, Bricktown Charleston's, Ned's Starlight Lounge and Neighbor's Coffee. We also had a live music by The Pat Dickson Band, and a lot of fun was had by all we really appreciate everyone's support.  We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!!
