The Bricktown Rotarians teamed up with TEEM, The Education Employment Ministry. The Rotarians gathered together to collect toothbrushes, tooth paste, floss, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, hair brushes, combs, socks, chapstick, nail clippers, kleenex, razors, shaving cream, mouthwash, deodorant, feminine products, q-tips, socks, snacks and Braum's gift cards.
TEEM programming assists those impacted by incarceration as pursue meaningful employment, pro-social lifestyles and self-sufficiency.
The Bricktown Rotary gathers hygiene items for men and women and place them in bags and drop them off to the TEEM organization for distribution. We try to put them together at least 2 to 3 times a year.
Re-entering society after incarceration is hard enough. Helping those who have joined the TEEM organization and are working towards a new future can benefit from the bags that help set them in the right direction. It may seem like a small gesture, but we have had the opportunity to meet with some of the recipients of the community service project and they are so grateful!
