"The foundation upon which Rotary is built is friendship; on no less firm foundation could it have stood." - Paul P. Harris
Let's Celebrate the 2022-2023 Rotary year together! Join us on May 19, 2023, at the Oklahoma History Center.
My year as your district governor is coming to a close on June 30th so I have started the downhill slide of my year and I am in the mood to CELEBRATE! Therefore, I want to invite my fellow Rotarians to join me in fun, food, fellowship, and friendship on May 19th. My heart is happy at the thought of a room full of Rotarians enjoying being Rotarians!
My focus this year has been togetherness and teamwork and unity and harmony has been the goal in getting us all back together after Covid. Let's have some fun after this rebuilding year as we are rebounding stronger than ever.
Our District Celebration will be packed with fun and you can expect:
  • Games with a purpose such as Putt Putt for Polio and Corn Holio for Polio
  • Recognition of all of our outstanding clubs and their projects.
  • Photo booth, music, a great dinner, and a cash bar
  • Recognition of our Foundation's supporters
  • Recognition of our club and district leaders
  • And finally, each club will be asked to select a member in their club who should be recognized with a "Service Above Self" award.
What a night! Please register now and we'll see you on May 19th!
I have continued to be busy with club visits and fundraisers, attended Mid-America President Elect Training, danced with our Wings Team from Japan, attended the Yukon Pancake breakfast, Midwest City Shrimp Boil, had a picture with the Easter Bunny supporting NWOKC, had a great time with the Rotary Cub of Edmond, the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City, NWOKC, Guthrie, Mustang and Geary clubs. I laughed so hard with the Bricktown Rotarians I could hardly get through my talk. Additionally, I caught up with great friends from throughout the years in Weatherford and have sweet memories being your district governor.
I have Chandler, Perry, and Pawhuska coming up!
Now, let's celebrate May 19th and pass the gavel and ring the gong to our new district and club leadership teams.
Let's keep the momentum going!
In Rotary Service,
Deena Fisher
District Governor 2022-2023
