21 Rotary clubs in central and northwest Oklahoma recognized an immediate need to fight COVID-19…hand sanitizer for first responders. Grant funds were offered to clubs to participate in purchasing, packaging and distributing an antiseptic solution made by Prairie Wolf Spirits in Guthrie, OK.

Rotary purchased 275 gallons in bulk and repackaged the hand sanitizer in ½ gallon containers that were generously donated by Braum’s. Clubs throughout Oklahoma picked up the sanitizer for distribution to first responders in their community. Some recipients of the Rotary donation  were police departments, fire departments, sheriff, ambulatory services, hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.

District Governor Lance Singleton said, “Fighting disease is one of Rotary’s main causes, so members already support efforts to promote proper hand washing techniques and teach people other ways to stay healthy. As a founding partner in the global initiative to End Polio, Rotary has worked diligently for over 30 years and spent almost $2 billion in the effort. Similarly, we are dedicating resources and channels to fight the coronavirus pandemic.”
