Saturday, July 13th was a full day of learning, and enjoying the history and culture of the great Ponca City.
Several Rotarians met early in the morning downtown for a History and Art Walk.
Joined by more Rotarians, the group reconvened at the historic E.W. Marland Mansion and filled up Lydie's Cottage for a day of training. We heard from our District Governor line (DG Jack Werner & DNE Mack Patel) about their plans for the upcoming years and details about the vote to increase the district dues from $47/person/year to $60/person/year.
13 clubs were represented in person for the Dues Increase Vote. Their vote along with email responses from 5 other clubs were considered for this vote. The final result was 22 electors in favor with 3 opposed. This increase goes into effect July 2025.
Alfonso Nieves, Angela Rickman, and Roy Wood filled the afternoon teaching us many of the things Rotary has to offer. Some time was spent at lunch sharing fundraising tips and strategies and lessons learned. Thank you all for sharing. Click here to access the presentation info for each topic.
Rotarians heard a brief history of the mansion at lunch and had the opportunity to have a private tour following the training.
