Cassidhe Walker, a member of the board of directors for Edmond Mobile Meals, accepted a combined matched donation of $6,000 recently from Edmond Summit Rotary and from Kappa Pi Charities, represented by Edmond Summit member Gary Jones. Cassidhe presented an update on the mission of Edmond Mobile Meals, which provides nourishing meals to elderly and disabled persons who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Edmond Mobile Meals is a non-profit charitable organization that has operated independently since 1974. Edmond Summit has made numerous donations to Mobile Meals and provided member volunteers to the organization continuously since Edmond Summit was chartered in 1998."Thank you for your generous donation to Edmond Mobile Meals," Cassidhe said. "Your commitment to serve our community and its most vulnerable citizens does not go unnoticed.
