Edmond Summit Rotary presented a check for $3,000 to Period OKC President Jennifer Mayo (center) for their work to distribute menstrual products at no cost to organizations that serve the most vulnerable Oklahomans in public places such as elementary, middle schools and high schools. They also provide training and educational materials to fight the stigma and shame surrounding menstruation. Period OKC's goal is to have essential hygiene products such as tampons and pads available in all women’s public bathrooms. Edmond Summit, represented by President Bill Hickman (left), and Kappa Pi Charities, represented by Summit member Gary Jones (right), combined matching funds toward the donation. Period OKC's website is https://periodokc.org for more information about donating and volunteer opportunities.
