SUPPORTING ENID SCHOOLS — The Rotary Club of Enid formally presented a $2,500 donation to the Enid Public School Foundation on Nov. 30. Accepting the check are, from left, Foundation board President Taylor Venus, Enid Public Schools Superintendent Darrell Floyd, EPSF Executive Director Janna Jackson and Foundation board Vice President Lora Whitehead. Announcing the gift in behalf of all Enid Rotarians was club President Jeffery Herbel, at right. The Rotary Club of Enid has a history of supporting local education, including an endowment that helps provide annual grants to teachers through the Enid Public School Foundation.
 
 
The Rotary Club of Enid has a commitment to Rotary International's core Areas of Focus, Saving Mothers and Children. In continuing to support that Focus, Rotary President Jeffrey Herbel presents Dan Schiedel, CEO of the United Way of Enid & NW Oklahoma with three checks of $2,500 for a total of $7,500. The donations will go to support the YWCA Enid Youth and Family Services of North Central Oklahoma , and the Garfield County Child Advocacy Council as part of the United Ways yearly campaign, where all donations are matched 2 to 1. #enidrotary
 
Rotary Club of Enid donated $2,500 to the Journey House Pregnancy Resources Center of Enid. Amy Voth, executive director of Journey House, accepted the big ceremonial check on Dec. 14 from Enid Rotary Club President Jeffery Herbel, at left, and President-elect Dan Schiedel. Journey House is a faith-based program that educates, supports and empowers women facing unplanned pregnancies.
