On Saturday, December 3rd, our club competed in our first annual Braum's Holiday River Parade at Riversport. This event was sponsored by Braum's and had a grand prize of $2000. Our decorating crew endured the early morning icy temperatures to install lights, an inflatable, and made a test run using the generator.The early morning decorating team was Brittany Byers, Chili McQuillar, Shari Lopp and boat Captain Billy Cox.
Our Pontoon Captain Billy Cox and Steward's Assistant Carter Cox posed with the famous Farm Truck float and crew. Our crew was Cam Ulloa, President Shane Willard, Brittany Byers, and Chili McQuillar.
As the Riversport Parade Day progressed many forms of entertainment were exhibited: the water rocket, extreme water-skiing stunts, a laser light show, games for families, the boat parade and the fireworks show finale. A huge crowd attended the event. The Carl Albert High School choral group also gave a superb performance. Hot drinks, snacks, and fire pits provided creature comforts for all.
