Repairing and maintaining 110 flags and plus distributing them five times during the year to our community is a big job. Thanks again to our flag repair team for your patriotism, keeping our flags flying and promoting community pride in our country. Team volunteers were Avery Woolridge, Oscar Womack, Hank Martin, Bruce Ewing, Maury Hardy, Kirit Bhakta, and Tom Miller.
On September 15th, twenty-three Interact Rotarian Youth from Carl Albert High School and Midwest City High School volunteered at the Regional Food Bank. They helped sort donated types of breads, buns, and pastries. The young Rotarians also packed 560, thirteen-pound boxes which will provide 6,067 meals for distribution to the community. It was great to see so many youths participate. Thank you Sally Newey, for all of your work in gathering such a large group and obtaining the proper permission and bus transportation. These youths experienced community benevolence and saw the complex coordination required to deliver large quantities of food to those in need. Rotarians, Sally Newey, Jack Warner, Mukesh Patel, Keith Endsley and Jody Yarbrough also volunteered.
