On April 13 OKC Sunrise Rotary Club held a Community “Listening Meeting” next to Rotary Park (Park is at 1922 Westwood and also along SW 15th) as a part of a Community Assessment focused on Old Rotary Park and the nearby neighborhoods near it. Sunrise is collaborating with the Oklahoma City "Club 29", OKC West Rotary Club, and other clubs to protect and beautify the damaged 1922 Rotary Monument Wall and pavilion there on Westwood, and conduct service projects in the adjacent neighborhood and park. The Listening Session led by member Byron Jackson (Exec. Dir of Possibilities, Inc.) generated many ideas for the park and neighborhood.

Two initial Rotary Park neighborhood ideas are to participate in a May 15 neighborhood/litter cleanup and to assist the new bilingual charter school there which is set to open in August 2021. Three clubs met via Zoom with OKC Parks to test park improvement ideas for realism and to set the stage for a grant application.
