Teacher of the Month - January 2024
In cooperation with the Mayor's office and City Council, the Rotary Club of Okla. City recognizes an outstanding teacher in our community.
 
Emily Kloeppel received her bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene University and her master’s degree, focused on Trauma Informed Education from Columbia College. She has passionately taught in Putnam City as an educator for eight years. She was named one of five Putnam City Excellent Educators and Windsor Hills Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2023.

Since her childhood, Emily has recognized the importance of good teachers in public education and has dreamt of supporting children and parents as an educator. She has taken the initiative to extend her knowledge throughout the district leading several professional development trainings in Trauma Informed Education and implementing several innovative teaching methods in her classrooms.
 
Emily believes that socio-economic learning plays a crucial role in education. She uses positivity to motivate the people she works with and focuses on building strong one-to-one relationships with her classroom families. She strives to break the negative cycles that exist in her students' lives and supports them to lead positive changes in their communities.
 
Emily Kloeppel was presented with a certificate of recognition as well as a $500 gift from the Rotary Club 29 Foundation AND a $500 gift from the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation in partnership with the American Fidelity Foundation.
