4/4/23 Obituary of Stillwater Frontier Rotarian Charles Campbell. 
 
Charles E. Campbell, age 78, passed away at his home on April 1, 2022, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. The Funeral Mass will be held on April 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater. Cremation services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Charles was born January 16, 1945, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to James and Agatha (Mooney) Campbell. He grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, and graduated High School from Edmond Memorial High School class of 1963. He later went on to attend Oklahoma State University graduating with a bachelor's degree in marketing in 1967. Charles was an active member of the Sigma Chi fraternity along with being a member of the ROTC while attending OSU.
 
Charles served in the United States Army achieving the rank of Captain and served his country proudly in Germany until he was honorably discharged in 1969. Charles then served in the Army Reserves until 1974. Charles went on to graduate from Oklahoma City University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate and was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association in 1974. In July 1975, Charles opened his law practice in the Lawyer's Building, where he practiced law for 48 and a half years.

Charles met the love of his life, Clella in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They were united in marriage in Kingfisher, Oklahoma at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on February 5, 1977, and to this union, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Alyssa and Ashlee.

Charles was known to be a serious and methodical trial attorney. Charlie was also a guy that loved the game of golf, cards, dominos, and anything Oklahoma State University. He was a proud Oklahoma State University football season ticket holder since 1975. He was a member of the Payne County Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association, Stillwater Country Club, Stillwater Elks Lodge, Stillwater Frontier Rotary Club, and parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Charles is survived by his wife, Clella; daughters, Alyssa Campbell-Wilmoth and husband Matt; Ashlee Campbell; granddaughter, Lily Wilmoth, all of Stillwater; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
