It was a Day to Shine with our Prader Willi family. Saturday, October 1, 2022. 10 am - 1 pm The Bricktown Rotarians came to help out at the Oklahoma Science Museum, There were about 20 children who had their own "party room" for dancing, lunch, fun and games.Peter Fulmer former Bricktown Rotarian started this club service project over 20 years. The Prader Willli children have a birth defect which they are born without the gene that tells them they are full, and they and their parents struggle with the problem which can sometimes lead to their deaths. The Bricktown Rotarians arrived and there was a D.J. streaming videos and awesome dance music and fun was in the air. Never mind it was 10am but the dancing began. Rotarians kicked off the morning with a blast of energy. Then the photo booth was in the corner to capture the Prader kids at their finest moves. We took a lunch break and the Rotarians escorted the children through the museum while the parents had their conference. The exlploration, dancing, photos and live science entertainment made the day so fun and special. We take for granted so much and it is so special to help out these children. We love them and look forward to a new adventure next year!!![]()
