Cynthia Johnson received a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Oklahoma Christian University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from UCO. Cynthia is a third and fourth grade Special Education/Autism teacher at Nichols Hills Enterprise Elementary.

She volunteers in the community in many ways including, organizing and participating in the Annual Autism Walk for the past 14 years; serving as a volunteer coach for Special Olympics Track and Field Activities; organizing and assisting the annual school supply giveaway. She also volunteers as a song leading coach through a Leadership Training for Christ program.

Cynthia serves as an Education Advisory member at Oklahoma Christian University. In this role she meets with incoming teachers or individuals who are thinking about entering the teaching profession.

Cynthia is passionate about student success in the classroom, especially students who are serviced in the self-contained special education setting and student who struggle with understanding grade-level content. She believes teachers must use methods to bridge the gap for students with disabilities and create classroom experiences geared towards higher-level intellectual processes.

Congratulations, Cynthia!!!
