The Ponca City Trailblazers Rotary Club is thrilled to reflect on the exciting journey we've embarked upon in recent months. Our charter celebration in September was a wonderful evening filled with joy, optimism, and the bonds of friendship. We extend our sincere appreciation to the district and those who joined us to make this occasion truly special. On that memorable night, we celebrated not only our initial 30 members but also happily welcomed two new members into our Rotary family.
One of the most notable aspects of our club's journey has been our commitment to embodying Rotary's values. More than 85% of our members are newcomers to the Rotary community, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to our initiatives. In August eight of our members actively engaged in the District Assembly, reflecting our dedication to nurturing leadership and contributing to the district's goals. In September, we collaborated with the local Noon Lions Club during Rotary's Celebrate Community Week, joining hands for a shared service project at our local food bank. Additionally, our club united with a Rotary Action Group and formed a dedicated team that successfully raised funds and participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. We are also excited about our upcoming event, the first-ever Pints for Polio & Singo at Vortex Alley Brewing, scheduled for October 17th, where we aim to raise awareness and funds for Polio Plus. Looking ahead, we anticipate more opportunities to grow and make a positive impact on our community and beyond.
