Wings of Rotary, our short-term youth exchange with Japan's District 2520, left for two weeks of incompatible hospitality. They experienced home stays, visited many temples and shrines, schools and businesses, and were immersed in the Japanese culture. Much preparation by the students enhanced their appreciation, enjoyment, and facilitated friendships. They have already benefited from forming relationships with each other. They saw the Japanese students who came for their two weeks throughout our district in March (a big thank you to all who hosted, drove, made arrangements, chaperoned) with whom they forged friendships and make new ones while there.
Many thanks to clubs who sponsored team members, some with scholarships. And, thanks for helping students understand what Rotary is and what we do.
